Drum Type Magnetic Separators are used for Automatic separation of Magnetic Particles from Fine Powder. Drum Type Magnetic Separators are available in two designs.  Magnetic drum separators provide an efficient means for extracting ferrous material from dry, bulk products in free-flowing processing systems. They are comprised of a stationary permanent magnet, either standard Ferrite Magnets or High Power Rare Earth Magnets enclosed in a non-magnetic stainless-steel drum. Product flow is diverted so that it falls onto the top and flows across the surface of the drum. Ferrous matter contained in the product flow is drawn to the drum's surface (and held against it) by the powerful magnet housed inside. While non-ferrous products falls from the side of the drum in a normal manner, ferrous metal clings to its surface. As the portion of the drum with the ferrous material rotates to the side opposite the product flow, the magnetic field is reduced so that the ferrous matter falls from the drum into a collection container. The end result is purified product ready for processing without the worry of costly damage caused by tramp metal. Rare Earth, Neodymium is 5 times stronger than Ceramic Magnets and can remove micron sized particles. Drum Separators can be provided as the drum only or as a complete assembly with the housing and drive included. A variety of sizes and strengths are available for many applications.

The permanent magnetic suspension magnets are suspended over conveyor line and are used to remove iron impurities mixed with product moving on conveyor belt. It can also be used for any other material feeding system to avoid damage to the crushers, grinders and other material handling equipments. These magnets can be made in self-cleaning design if required (Over band Magnetic Separator).

Application : Suspension magnets and Over band Magnetic Separator find wide applications in mining, coal/power generation plant and also in chemical/ food/plastic/ ceramics industries. Construction : The magnetism in a permanent suspension magnet is produced by internal assembly of magnets enclosed in a non-magnetic stainless steel housing. The magnet is suspended by turnbuckle, dee shackles, wire ropes and suspended hooks. The magnetic power in suspension magnet is designed according to material depth/belt speed of the conveyor. Operating heights up to 400 mm, are possible. The suspension magnet can also be used in conjunction with magnetic pulley to achieve 100% results. In Over band Magnetic Separator the Conveyor belt rotates round the Permanent Magnet and iron impurities picked up are thrown off and collected separated. Selection : The design of magnet depends on the feed material, size and feed depth. The design also depends on width and speed of your belt conveyor. The Coolant Magnetic Separators is designed and developed to clean the coolant liquid from very fine ferrous particles which the conventional filters cannot remove. The usages of coolant magnetic separator assures uninterrupted flow of pure coolant liquid which is very much needed for any precision grinding operation. The performance of the machine is improved for the incorporation of the coolant magnetic separator for better surface finish of the jobs. OPERATION : 
The used coolant in the grinding machine is passed through the filter to remove course sediments and then discharged into the coolant magnetic separator inlet. The coolant drum that has the permanent magnets, rotates at slow speed and in the opposite direction of the liquid flow. The fine iron particles get attracted to the strong magnetic poles present in the separator drum. A brass scrapper is attached at the other end of the machine that helps in scrapping the ferrous particles from the magnetic poles. Iron impurities get collected in the special box provided with the machine.The contamination of the liquid is also reduced by the usage of coolant magnetic separator, which enhances the life of the machinery. Thus the coolant liquid may be used for longer period. Thus reduces the operational cost of the grinding machine.

Rotation to the machine is provided by one low speed geared motor of standard make operating on 440 volts 3 phase A.C. A new feature has been added to our drum design by providing continuous magnetic polarity across the circumference of the magnetic drum for perfect filtration.

The wet drum magnetic separator is ideally used to separate ferrous particles from non ferrous particles . They are so made by us to provide ultimate protection to crushers, Grinders, Pulverizers and allied equipment and is useful for mining and ore dressing industry. It is so made that one side is magnetized and the other side is not. 

Applications It is ideally used in Ceramic, Chemical, Glass, Fertilizer and food industry separates iron particles from granules and powder. The magnetic drums are suitable for capacities up to 2tons per hour can be given on short deliveries. They have a varying dimension of 300mm. To 600mm. The diameter and length varies up to 1500mm and has a capacity to handle 10 tonnes. Construction The magnetic drum separator consists of a number of oriented, isotopic permanent magnets that are assembled to give alternate polarity across the circumference dependent on the application. The magnetic intensity of the electro magnets is not all that more than permanent magnets. As rectifier and electricity is not used to operate this machinery hence they operate at low costs and also during power failures. Construction : Saideep Magnetic Plates have raised powerful poles. The tramp iron will accumulate in the gap between the poles. “SAIDEEP” manufacture a wide range of Rare Earth and Ferrite Magnetic Pulleys. These Pulleys are widely used to remove tramp iron mixed with the material moving on a conveyor belt.

Applications : The permanent magnetic pulley is dual-purpose equipment used for protection of crusher Jaws or other machinery and also for purification and concentration of magnetic material from the mines. It has the widest application in food, chemical, ceramic, paper, coal handling, foundry operation and mining industry. Construction : The magnetism in a Permanent magnetic pulley is produced by internal assembly of magnets enclosed in non magnetic stainless Steel shell. The steel Shaft is extended on both sides. One side is provided with Keyway. The Pulleys have a face width of 50 to 100 mm more than the belt width. The magnetic strength of magnetic pulley depends on the diameter and also quality of magnets used. Pulleys with Rare Earth Magnets can handle depths upto 300 mm. Selection : Pulley width is determined by the width of conveyor belt to be used. Diameter depends on, depth of material and speed of the conveyor. It can be designed to suit customer’s application.

Magnetic Hump is used for removing tramp Iron mixed with powder flowing down the vertical pipe. Magnet consists of two Super Power Rare Earth Magnetic Plates hinged on the zigzag path as shown. The hinged magnetic plate can be opened and cleaned easily.

Applications : Rare Earth Magnetic Humps are used to remove weak Magnetic and fine iron contamination. The magnetic power of the plate can be kept from medium to high power (12000 gauss) depending on the application. The hump is designed for easy installation in, Ducts, Feed Tables, and also can be at discharge of screens, conveyors etc.

Designed for handling Solid Slabs, Steel Ingots, Bloom Billets, we also manufacture circular lifting magnet. It is made from high permeability Steel Casting as per IS: 449 (BSS- 1617), properly machined, to provide the most efficient Magnetic Circuit. The periphery of the magnet is heavily ribbed to give added mechanical strength and an increased radiation surface to aid cooling.

Lifting Magnet consists of various parts like:  * TERMINAL BOX that ensure protection whilst in operation and are of double entry type enabling the leads from the coils to be sealed in a separate cavity.  * MAGNETIZING COILS for magnet size up to 900 mm dia is pure annealed wire wound and above these are strip wound. The glass insulation of class H standard with Fibre glass NOMEX tape forming an interlayer makes coil withstand high temperature.  * BUMPING PLATES are of high grade Manganese Steel Casting as per IS - 276 with heavy ribs for added strength. These are clamped in position by the center and outer poles offering complete protection to the coil.

“SAIDEEP” Magnetic Chip Conveyor is used where the iron chips go with coolant and are collected down at inconvenient location. The Magnetic Conveyor which is totally enclosed can be lowered in the sump and chips collected outside in a drum or trolley. The top surface of the conveyor is made out of stainless steel to stand constant wear. The conveyor has high intensity magnets moving inside which bring all the ferrous impurities out. The conveyor is available in suitable widths and heights and can be accommodated in any machine like broaching machine, hobbing machine and other special purpose machines.
